Details | The Seymour Library welcomes Felicia Ortner, a Connecticut Master Wildlife Conservationist who will provide education and facts about bears in modern Connecticut. Ms. Ortner will give a talk about the bears that are now showing up in our backyards, decks and dumpsters. Bear awareness, safety for YOU and the BEARS and conservation will be touched upon in her talk. Folklore, legends, myths and the truth in New England about the native black bears will be discussed. The talk’s hoped for objective is for a better understanding of the life cycle and behavior of the black bear leading to coexistence and harmony between humans and bears.
