Creating Connecticut -- Tales from the State Historian Emeritus

Wed May 22, 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Hosted by Seymour Library
Details What makes Connecticut Connecticut to people that live here? What makes someone a Nutmegger? Besides close access to NYC and decent pizza and hamburgers it comes down to a shared sense of history of which Connecticut has a deep depth of interesting stories and places.

The Seymour Library welcomes Walter W. Woodward, the state historian emeritus who will take us on a journey through some of the Nutmeg State’s most fascinating tales!
Mr. Woodward’s talk will lead us from the early presence of the Dutch, to the dark days of witch hunts, life of state hero Nathan Hale and even Mark Twain’s smoking habits.
