Details | The Seymour Library welcomes in the Christmas holiday spirit with Richard Franklin Donohue. Mr. Donohue is a trained tenor and historian – he is the President and Program Director of the Cromwell Historical Society for nearly twenty years. No tradition has yielded a greater collection of music than that of Christmas. In this program Mr. Donohue will explore this extraordinary repertoire from the 10th through 19th centuries. Hear carols sung in their original language of German, Latin, Middle English, French and Modern English with harpsichord accompaniment. Mr. Donohue is a trained tenor who teaches music and specializes in historical music ranging from Middle English carols to 19th century music.
