Details Have you ever watched Indiana Jones and wondered what it’s like being a real archaeologist? Do you love learning about history, biology, and all things bones? Local zooarchaeologist and Masters of Science candidate in Archaeology and Cultural Resource Management Charlie Robichaud can answer all those burning questions and more in her program, Beyond the Bones: Introduction to Zooarchaeology, at the Kellogg Environmental Center on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1pm.

Beyond the Bones: Introduction to Zooarchaeology is an educational program that aims to introduce those interested in archaeology to one of its specialized subfields. The program will outline what zooarchaeology is and its real-world applications as well as its relevance to understanding human behavior and ecology. Several hands-on activities such as skull and dental identification, puzzle building, and a mock faunal analysis will allow the public to work through and understand the training that goes into being a zooarchaeologist.
