| Details | The Derby Neck Library is offering a brand new book club for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children to discuss strategies and techniques for effective parenting in a nonjudgmental space. Each month, we’ll read a title from a pediatrician, a psychologist, or a memoir, and consider how the information we gather might be useful in practice. We will also share personal experiences and challenges to troubleshoot as a team. Parenting is one of the toughest and most important endeavors a person can take on, but we don’t have to do it alone. With open minds (and books), we can support each other, learn together, and grow together. This is the first meeting of this new club. We will do a meet and greet to get to know each other and talk about what we hope to get out of the club, and then pick our first book. |
