Hosted by Derby PUBLIC Library
Details NOTE: This event actually ends at 2:45, but this calendar is only able to list times at the top and bottom of the hour.

Hear ye, hear ye! In honor of America’s 250th birthday, young time travelers are invited to journey back to the days of colonial America for an afternoon of history, discovery, and merriment! 🦅🪶🎉

Presented by the Historical Society, this special event will showcase an assortment of fascinating artifacts and everyday treasures from long ago. Possible examples may include toys, tools, clothing, and household items once used by early Americans, along with a few surprises from the past.

After exploring history up close, children will craft their own whirligig (a colorful spinning toy inspired by those enjoyed centuries ago) and take part in traditional games that once brought laughter and joy to colonial children.

So gather your family and join us for a celebration filled with wonder, creativity, and old-fashioned fun as we mark America’s 250th anniversary together! ❤️🤍💙
