Details | Immune system function has been a hot topic, one that suffers a lot of misinformation. Dr. Lyndsey Maher of Soleil Acupuncture + Naturopathic Wellness will discuss what an immune system is and its basic functions. She’ll also provide an overview of the nutrient and lifestyle changes needed to help optimize its function. About the Speaker: Dr. Lyndsey Maher is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport’s School of Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture Institute. She is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Connecticut, practicing in Hamden, CT. Less than enamored with conventional medicine’s approach to her own health issues, she found naturopathic medicine. Having healed from what plagued her, she sought to empower and educate others on how to make the lifestyle adjustments necessary to promote health, rather than just abate illness. She is a member of the EndoANP, which is committed to the education of naturopathic doctors on the principles, science, and practice of endocrinology. Having learned early on in naturopathic medical school, “when in doubt, treat the gut,” she is also a member of the GastroANP which is committed to advancing the philosophy, science, research and practice of gastroenterology by bringing the unique perspective that naturopathic medicine offers to the understanding and treatment of gastrointestinal disease and dysfunction.
