Join Mallory Howard live in person at the Seymour Library as she gives a talk on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and its effect on American history. Ms. Mallory Howard is the Assistant Curator on the Mark Twain House and Museum and also specializes in American presidential history.


President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination was tragic and unexpected. It changed the trajectory of American history. His assassin, John Wilkes Booth, was marked as one of our country’s greatest villains. But what about his co-conspirators? Who were they and what became of each one of them? Join us to take a look at the various plots against Lincoln, as well as to explore the events that led to terror, injury, and ultimately the death of one of our country’s leaders.
