Details CELEBRATE CONNECTICUT TRAILS DAY AT OSBORNEDALE STATE PARK

Raise your heart rate and your spirits with a fitness hike on the Red & Yellow Loop Trails at Osbornedale State Park on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:30am! Get your body pumping with this fast-paced, 20-minutes-a-mile hike along flat to moderately steep terrain. The trail loop is less than two-and-half-miles long and has a 354ft elevation gain and limited accessibility. The terrain varies from flat and muddy to moderately steep and rocky. The meeting place is at the parking lot of the Kellogg Environmental Center & Osborne Homestead Museum. Please dress appropriately and bring your own water bottle. For safety reasons, this hike is limited to 10 people. Take part in one of many free trail events in Connecticut to celebrate National Trails Day. Connecticut Forest & Park Association has been coordinating this special trails weekend since 1993, in order for visitors to experience the numerous trails around the state.

Go on a fitness hike and be a part of the largest trails day celebration in the nation! There’s no admission fee. Registration is required. To register, call (203)734‑2513, email DEEP.Kellogg@ct.gov, or go to https://trailsday.org/events/fitness-hike/. Note that online registration will open on May 1st. Rain cancels this event.
