You’re invited to the Osborne Homestead Museum on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2pm for a specialized tour to learn about the importance of literacy through the life of Wesleyan scholar, Civil War major, industrial business leader, and father/co-founder of Derby Neck Library, Wilbur Fisk Osborne. Wilbur Osborne spoke to his community through his speeches but also indirectly to the viewer through photos. This event is meant to serve as an encouragement to dedicate more time in a good book. We will be providing free books from Derby Neck Library that you may take home. All age groups are welcome.
